#SundaySongs, but it's Saturday Edition. While my mom's at work with a kid's film festival, and since February is considered Black History Month, I thought of no better way to combine the two than with this one-hit wonder. Sure, the reggae movement of the United Kingdom may have been revolutionary in the heydays of the Cold War when big bad Margaret Thatcher was around, some bands more memorable than others even expanding outside of Jamaica and England to the States here, but it never became overly mainstream until 1985 - where these kids posed the immortal question: "How does it feel when you got no food?" Inbetween the Jackson 5 and Kris Kross, all coming before the first ever Kidz Bop album, Musical Youth really sent their message well. Although, we still don't know what the hell a dutchie is and how do you even pass it on the left hand sides. Don't ask me, it's a reggae thing. Enjoy!
