About The failure of Trollz. First, DIC filed a lawsuit against Dam Things. With this, DIC claimed that Dam alleged claims of fraud in the inducement and negligent misrepresentation in connection with Thomas Dam's troll doll, and DIC's Trollz cartoon. In response to this, Dam Things filed a counter-claim lawsuit against DIC. With this, Dam claimed that DIC financially misrepresented its ability to create and market a modern Troll doll campaign and destroyed the image and goodwill of the Troll doll. This was a bad way to deal with a failure, as both companies should've admit the failure and they didn't have to attack each other. The show could have done better. It also didn't help that the show was produced around the time DIC Entertainment was declining in its later years until it eventually merged with Cookie Jar Entertainment in July 2008. Ultimately this wouldn't last long as DIC completly folded into Cookie Jar in December of that year. Years later in 2010, Dam partnered with DreamWorks Animation to produce a computer animated film based on the Troll dolls. Three years later in 2013, Dam later sold the Trolls to DreamWorks and continued development on the film. Years later In 2016, Trolls was released in theaters and became a massive hit.
For more info on that I suggest you look at my journal about DreamWorks saving the Trolls.
I saw Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken for the first time. I thought it was great in my opinion. It just wasn't as good as Shark Tale in my opinion. I still think Shark Tale is a better film than Ruby Gillman but I still enjoyed Ruby Gillman. Besides, Shark Tale is my childhood. That movie was where I started loving sharks.
Ok...
I've been a fan of DreamWorks Animation since I was a kid. Ever since its first feature film Antz.
